Financial Support for a Refugee interested in studying Epidemiology in Mainz

The “Mainzer Verein zur Förderung der Epidemiologie, Biometrie, Informatik, Dokumentation und der Krebsregister e.V. (VEBIK)” and the Master’s of Science in Epidemiology (MSE) Programme at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz are offering support to a refugee starting the MSE programme in fall 2024.

What is being offered?

  • The MSE programme will waive the tuition fee
  • VEBIK will provide €1000 in support for books and supplies

Who is eligible to apply?

  • Applicants must:
    o have refugee status in Germany
    o fulfil all usual requirements for admission to the MSE programme
    o have reasonable prospect of successfully finishing the MSE

How can you apply?

As part of your application to the MSE program, please additionally include:
– a letter indicating you want to be considered for this support
– proof of your refugee status in Germany


Applications will be accepted until July 31, 2024.
